1. What should I know before I hire a Landscape Contractor?

2. What areas does NV do work in ?
Primarily the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys, but we also do installations in outlying areas such as the Conejo Valley, Los Angeles, Glendale, and Pasadena. Commerical Maintenance is restricted to the SCV and SFV to facilitate prompt emergency response and limit our contribution to the already congested freeways of Southern California.

3. Is there a fee to get an estimate ?
There is no charge to meet once with a representative and receive a written proposal. There is a fee to have a plan designed, if one is necessary. Read more about this in the Landscape Design/Build section.

4. Isn't it a waste of money to do a design with your company if I won't own the plan ?
The same could be said of any professional consultation - most professions offer an initial consultation for free to allow you to see if you are comfortable working with their representative and their company. After that, an hourly fee or fixed amount applies, as the information exchanged is considered a legitimate business transaction. Our representative works with you to explore appropriate choices while offering insight to features and materials you may not be familiar with to achieve the overall desired effect, and to present alternatives when needed. This information falls under the realm of intellectual property and has value. The knowledge you gain through this process (isolating what you like, don't like, and can compromise with your partner, when applicable) is intangible: it cannot be returned or exchanged and holds no value to anyone else - it is a personal investment made to ensure the substantially larger investment that follows is a sound one.

5. Why aren't there more pictures on your website ?
People's needs and wants vary greatly and it would be too difficult to try and represent 24+ years of success in a few pictures. Our representative will be happy to show you selections from our portfolio, illustrating various elements that might particularly interest you. Seeing one or two pictures on a website might limit your perception of our vast ability to suit your needs. When we say we specialize in CUSTOM work, we mean it!
